Logos School Primary DepartmentWelcome to Logos School of English Education Primary Department.
We are very proud of our Primary Department and all we seek to achieve academically, socially and morally. We aim to explore the potential of each child and ensure that talents are fully realised in preparation for the future.
Students are taught using a British Based Curriculum, which is adapted to suit the needs of life in Cyprus and our multicultural status. All subjects of the British Curriculum are taught in each year.
Individual pupils' achievements are also recognised; those chosen are invited to join the Principal for tea and cake at the 'V.I.P table'!
We hope you find the information on this website useful. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
Mr Gary Love
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22 v. 6
Our students should:
- Develop academically, socially, emotionally, physically, morally and spiritually.
- Enjoy school.
- Learn in a stimulating environment.
- Be active in their own learning.
- Develop self-discipline.
- Be given a sense of self worth.
- Respect other cultures and traditions.
- Have an aesthetic appreciation.
- Learn about Cyprus.
The Primary Department offers all subjects in the National Curriculum of England to each year. These include
- Religious Education
- Physical Education
We currently have students from over 30 different nationalities in Logos School. Many of our students are not native English speakers and so they face the daunting challenge of not just learning a foreign language, but learning in a foreign language. Learning English as a Foreign Language is therefore an integral part of our Primary Curriculum.
Learning support is available for children with special educational needs.
Regular reports are provided that detail each child's progress and parents are always welcome to make an appointment with the teacher to discuss their child's progress at any time.
Classroom learning is reinforced by a wide range of visits and outings during the year.
