Trip to the Doulos Ship, Larnaca

Wednesday 3rd of December was a special day for the students of Logos school who had the privilege of visiting the oldest passenger carrying ship in the world. The "Doulos", a floating bookshop, was docked in Larnaca harbour. We were entertained by some of the crew performing comedy acts, songs and fabulous cultural dances. Also the students had the opportunity to meet people from different countries of the world. It was astonishing to witness the crew members working together as a united family without considering their differences and backgrounds. Students were warmly welcomed on board and were treated as if they were no strangers. The Doulos is also known for its large collection of books, CD's, tapes and post cards sold for cheap prices to the visitors. Students and teachers had the opportunity to discover the life that crew members were experiencing during their stay on the Doulos. The Doulos ship, built in 1913, is still sailing around the world, serving people who are in need, providing them food, shelter and especially sharing their love with them. They were a great influence on the students presenting to them the real meaning of true friendship.
